Things you'll need
I have choosen to take this natural hair journey. I have never had a perm, a relaxer, but always pressed my hair. I have fry, dryed and just over-pressed it out straight. Thinking that will make it easy to handle. What I found is I never knew how to take care of my hair and love my hair in it's natural state. What was stopping me from wearing my natural hair? I have to tell you I too had been brainwashed and finally I took my power back and am embracing everything and loving everything about me.
Here is what you need to remember:
1) Treat your hair gently like a silk blouse or a delicate flower...be patient
3) Seal your ends with oils ( almond oil, shea butter, coconut oil, castor oil)
4) Try to use natural products on your hair, even homemade5) Our hair tends to tangle more, so remember water is your friend
Things you'll need:
A good shampoo
A good hot oil treatment or deep conditioner:
-It is an all natural based shea butter treatment.
-you can also do an overnight hot oil treatment with natural oils heat and apply, make sure that you do not over heat the oils
A good leave in conditioner or daily moisturizer
A wide tooth comb
A good boar bristle brush ( do not use often)
A spray bottle to mist your hair
A silk scarf, cap, or wrap to wear on your head at night
A satin pillow case
and finally love for your natural hair and enpowerment!!
